Women's Studies Careers

Since Women’s Studies provides students a framework for understanding the world, our graduates find themselves in many different places. Students acquire jobs in the non-profit sector, such as international relief agencies, domestic violence agencies, homeless shelters, after-school programs, and children and family services. Other fields our students have entered include public relations, counseling, union organizing, public policy and research, victim advocacy, and human/civil rights.

Alumni & Giving

Women’s Studies alumni pursue a variety of professional and personal endeavors after graduation. They find themselves working in local and state governments, developing reproductive rights platforms in non-profit work, pursuing medical degrees and work on women’s health, doing socially engaged art, lead humanitarian expeditions in the United States and abroad, and working fashion and merchandising.  Our alumni find success in such a wide range of paths as diverse as teaching, running non-profit organizations, doing philanthropy work, coordinating relief efforts for disasters, developing sustainable economic pathways for immigrant and refugee women and their children, and as business leaders of small and large enterprises.
