Dr. Nabil Echchaibi, University of Colorado Boulder’s associate professor and Director of Center of Media, Religion and Culture, is visiting CSU as a guest speaker. His talk entitled “Auditions in Muslim (In)Visibility,” will focus on his current book project “Unmosquing Islam: Media and Muslim Fugitivity,” which seeks to broaden the category and sense of Muslimness not defined by the propositions of Western standards of recognition or limited to the uniform questions of faith and a fixed Muslim ontology.
